Nature of This Resource

Charleston County Released Inmates is an independent reference site. It has no authority over a sheriff, court, jail, prison, supervision office, or records custodian. It does not keep official government records. It cannot confirm a person's custody status, order or arrange a release, change a record, submit a court filing, or act for a public office.

The site points visitors toward official inmate and jail-record resources serving Charleston County. It may also connect visitors with independently operated research tools. Those references are meant to help users identify an appropriate source, not to replace verification with the agency that created the record.

Acceptable Use Requirements

You agree to use the site responsibly and only for lawful purposes. In particular, you must not:

Custody status, release information, court entries, and public records can change quickly. Nothing presented here is an official statement from the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, SCDC, a court, or another government agency.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that may properly be brought must be filed in a court of competent jurisdiction within South Carolina.

If One Term Is Invalid

If a court finds any provision invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be narrowed or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable. Every remaining provision will continue in full force.
